Introducing Hello, London! by Megan McKean

I’m back to show you a sneaky peek at my new book, Hello, London! — a bright cover and my favourite part, the double-decker bus red foil! Thank you for all of the kind messages and comments on Instagram to my news I shared recently announcing my next title. All of the enthusiasm for this series is what has allowed me to make these subsequent titles, and I hope you’ll love the new city just as much!

In Hello, London! we’re following 6 bird guides, this time they’re plucky grey pigeons taking you around the city. They’ll be flying up high to places like Tower Bridge and The Shard, into gardens and flowers like Columbia Road Flower Market and Kew Gardens, and even aboard the Underground and a famed double-decker bus.

I’ll be posting some all things London related under the hashtag #HelloLondonbyMeganMcKean on Instagram, so you can see a bit more of the process and inspirations behind making a book like this! The book is officially published in February 2020 in Australia and the UK, but if you’re keen to get your hands on a copy as soon as February arrives, you can pre-order from Booktopia (if you’re in Australia) or from The Book Depository (who offer free shipping world wide). The more copies sold before February show bookstores the interest levels in the new release, so if you’re thinking of ordering for yourself or for friends/family, it’s a huge help to get pre-orders in early. Please also note that similarly to Hello, New Zealand! I won’t be selling copies of the book through McKean Studio, and don’t have any market events planned for 2020. This means that unfortunately I’m unable to offer signed copies of the book, or personal notes included in orders — but if you have a special request, I’ll always look into the best way to make it happen! I’m hoping to do some signings and readings in the new year too!
