Folkets Park in spring

We hired bikes and rode to Folkets Park over the weekend, a conscious effort to make the most of a sunshine filled morning before a week of rain sets in. We’re definitely adapting to Swedish weather and making hay with the sun, literally, shines. The last time we visited Folkets Park was in the winter, when it was all set up for the Christmas and winter display, with fake-snow covered pine trees lining the paths and interactive art installations dotted around the park. Seeing it in full-bloom for spring was so lovely, and one thing I’m really struck by is the effort that goes into making the public spaces so beautiful — the dedicated displays and seasonal installations are so sweet, and makes for a great walk admiring all the blooms (both the real ones and the wooden cut outs!).
