Martin’s Conditori

One thing I miss most about travelling frequently is road-tripping to different cities and stopping at cute diners and cafes along the way. One of the first places we visited a couple of weekends after we arrived in Malmö was Martin’s Konditori — we walked there, so definitely not a road trip stop, but still a very cute diner feel. I love a tiny cup of coffee that you can refill to your hearts content, and European coffee houses usually serve you the perfect size to not feel like you’ve overdone it after 2 cups!

Martin’s originally opened in 1955 and changed hands to the current owners in 1983 - aside from the fresh pastries and hot pot of coffee, not much else seems to have changed in the interior. Floral curtains, cute and kitsch decorations (a festive touch with Christmas decor being strung up for the season) and diamond upholstered booths with laminex table tops. Could happily read the newspaper and drink coffee all morning here!
