Midsommar in Stockholm

We spent a week in Stockholm over the Midsommar weekend, making the most of low covid cases and a public holiday weekend to get out of Malmö for a change of scenery. It was the first time we’ve been anywhere since moving to Sweden in 2020, and was a welcome change to our routine. We visited a few museums, and walked a lot, but was mostly just a nice excuse to see something different and enjoy the summer sunshine outdoors. We spent a couple of nights at Hotel Skeppsholmen, on an island in Stockholm which was a lovely and low-key base to be by the water.

Supermarket picnics, transport by boat (to be outdoors!) and watching hot air balloons float over at sunset… it was the perfect week away to reset for the summer.
