Saga’s first snow day

Is there a better way to kick off December than with the first snowfall of the season? All week I’ve been seeing people in Gothenburg, Helsingborg, even Lund (which is only 20kms away from Malmo) getting their first snow of winter… temperatures were hovering at -1 degrees celsius but the skies were clear so I wasn’t holding out much hope of anything more than a little flurry. So what a lovely surprise it was to finally get snow in Malmo on Wednesday!

Waking up on December 1st to take Saga out for her morning stretch, and the first flakes were falling. Less than an hour later and it was properly snowing — fat, fluffy flakes that were sticking to the ground and the rooftops of the buildings nearby. We took Saga into the square to see what she thought of snow (so funny to think of all these experiences and what a puppy must think of them?) She didn’t seem too interested in the snow itself, and was more curious for the sticks on the ground that she could chew on. Hopefully there’ll be plenty more opportunities to play in the snow this December as she gets more confident!
