Skissernas Museum, Lund

The Skissernas Museum in Lund is dedicated to the creative process; sketches, drawings and plans make up the collection. It’s the world’s largest collection of sketches, models and templates, and it makes for a totally unique and fascinating gallery visit, showing the importance of the sketch as a creative tool and giving insight into different artists’ methods, means of exploration, and ways of working.

I’ve had Skissernas saved to visit for years, and finally found myself in Lund with a free afternoon to be able to go — I’m already looking forward to visiting again. With around 35,000 works in the collection I think it will take a few visits before I’ve felt like I’ve seen even close to enough!
