Sofiero Slott

Continuing with our quest for finding the most picturesque places to take our visiting friends later this spring, on the weekend we stopped in to Sofiero Castle for a walk through the beautiful grounds. With the weather already warming up (even if it’s only a few extra degrees) there were several family groups picnicking on the lawn. We did a few of the trails that cover the reserve, and Saga had a great time walking through crunchy leaves, jumping over rocks and sniffing all sorts of pathways. Sofiero Castle is well known for its rhododendron display, so we’re looking forward to visiting again in May to see it full of colourful blooms!

We stopped into the very charming Bröd Kulture for a post-walk snack, another place buzzing with activity and people (and dogs) making the most of the spring sunshine.
