Svabesholms Kungsgard Hotel

Celebrating the start of warmer weather, and with a last-minute rate found online, we skipped out on our normal Saturday chores around the house and headed to Osterlen, one of the most idyllic places in all of Skåne — and maybe even all of Sweden! Just an hour east of Malmo, we love visiting the different farm boutiques and stores dotted around the towns.

We stayed at the very charming Svabesholms Kungsgård, a beautiful farm hotel with the rooms set inside the former mansion on the grounds, of when the property was used for the cavalry in the 17th century. The rooms were clean and light-filled, and it was nice to stay somewhere not only pet-friendly, but pet-welcoming. Saga had a lovely weekend sniffing after horses, and meeting resident dog, Max over breakfast the following morning.
