Rainbow Spotting: Gourmet Deli

Rising up from the corner of Avenue B and E 4th Street is this delightful confectionary inspired building. I’ve long wondered when it comes to cute buildings if I’d rather live IN the building or ACROSS from it, so I could look at it all the time... and I think in this instance, any chance to admire it from the outside would see me there. There’s no known reason why this building is painted like something out of a Wes Anderson film (amidst a very normal New York village street scene, with no other buildings similarly treated) but it’s worth a stop to take in the lovely details as you’re walking down the street.
