Snippets of the seasons

When we arrived in Sweden last year it was the tail-end of autumn, with the parks littered with orange leaves and occasionally I’d spot mushrooms growing along the pathways. Winter moved in quickly and we made the most of the cosy season, complete with making mulled wine at home and getting a Christmas tree to decorate. Into spring (my favourite season) and the fresh flowers are everywhere, and birds are chirping in the trees. Summer is now well and truly here, and I’m quite looking forward to experiencing a famous Swedish Midsummer for the first time — the endless hours of sunshine so far have been a treat after the long days of winter.
