Rainbow-brite Buildings

When we first moved to Malmö I was crossing my fingers that the apartment we’d eventually move into would be inside a coloured building — candy pink, pistachio green, even sunshine yellow… I just loved the idea of coming home to such a bright building! Once we started the house hunting process we were finding that often the building interiors looked completely different to the exterior, and wasn’t always suitable for what we were needing in our future apartment.

The place we’ve ended up in is in a building that is still exceptionally beautiful but as far from ‘cute and colourful’ as you can get. No regrets, we’re across the way from a very peachy-pink building that looks like a wedding cake, so I still get my daily fix of a gorgeous place to stare at. I still admire the bright buildings when we’re out on our walks though — and there’s one particular pink building that I always snap a picture of when I walk by, just because I love it so much.
