Welcome, Saga

Welcome home, Saga! We’ve added a furry friend to our family, welcoming a little black Labrador to our lives for the next year or so. We’re puppy-raising this sweetie on behalf of DISA, giving her all the love, pats and belly scratches she needs until she’s old enough to go off to start training to eventually become a service or assistance dog. Puppy-raising is something I’ve wanted to do for years and years, but while we were living in Sydney we didn’t have the space or work flexibility to accommodate a puppy. In the middle of this year I was thinking about it again (while working from home and feeling like I could do with a little company!) and enquired into partnering with DISA dogs. A new litter needing homes was born in September, and here we are now in November having just brought home our 8 week old little pal.

Saga means ‘fairy tale’ in Swedish — it felt like the perfect name for this little sweetheart, and fitting for this magical new chapter of our time in Sweden.
