Rainbow Spotting: London Escalators

I only recently realised just how much of a ‘thing’ I have for staircases and escalators. I love the details of old staircases, the bannisters on the sides, the marble in the steps, all the little individual bits that make up something big. Escalators are just fun, I suppose - I mean, moving staircases, what’s not to love? Every surface is an opportunity for good design, and I was delighted when I stumbled across this cheery set of escalators in London. The cobalt Plexiglass sides, and the bright rainbow stripes, how fun! I may have ridden the escalators a few times between floors to take it all in; but could you blame me?
